We have had so many personal messages and comments over the past weeks as to how Pai Tula and it's teachers have held such a unique and special place in our members lives and we wanted to say thank you 😊 your support is valued and you are cherished but what we love the most is the laughter, the countless times when the impossible becomes possible and the smiles of accomplishment when our fellow yogis find their balance find their feet, find their focus, find their breath and sacred place in their own lives and that's what our studio and community thrives on! Please add a comment below if you'd like to share with the community about our studio and sacred space 🕉

Do you have some questions that need answering? Ask them here and our tribe will get you the answers you're looking for. Let's start: Q: What is the right amount of time to wait after eating, before practicing yoga asana? And how long should I wait after practicing yoga before I can eat? A: Two hours after you eat is generally when you have an empty stomach and it’s okay to practice yoga. If you are starving and haven't eaten all day and need some nourishment it’s fine to eat a banana or have a little juice to sustain you through the practice. Try avoid heavy meals as this will disturb your energy and stomach. Q: Why do we "OM" at the end of class, is it religious? A: You are welcome to say "Amen" or any other form of gratitude and thanks but this is what om means. OM is said to be the sound of the universe. It is a symbol of our connection to all living things and beings. It is a way to seal in the lessons of the yoga class. It is however, pretty intimidating to new students, and you are by no means required to participate. You are also allowed to giggle, yogis love laughter. It's more about making a sound to ground you and bring you back after savasana. Q: I have an injury must I stop yoga for this time? A: Yoga is not a sport that you abstain from during injury. If you have the means to do a private, the teacher can show you an adaptive practice to do at home and in class to actually help heal and stretch out the injury (depending on the damage and diagnosis). Otherwise, keep coming to class and leave out the poses that use that body part. The yoga world sees injuries a little differently from the western world. An injury can often be an experience of the body seeking attention to and asking for you to be more present with yourself. Spending time on the mat while injured can be a very insightful practice and often help find the route cause of the injury. For example: whether it's on the mat or off the mat, if you've let's say, hurt your shoulder. It could be the universe giving you a gentle reminder that you are taking on too much and need to ground yourself more. You can do this by staying off the arm and doing more poses on your feet (warriors etc) and then taking a child's pose or even balance pose instead of planks and weight bearing things. See how it works? Our bodies are magic and have intricate wordless wisdom, when we are willing to listen. There are so many yoga asana (poses) that can be done while our bodies heal, it is a practice of patience but definitely worthwhile. Always remember, yoga practice is to heal and bring balance.

We often think we are the only ones struggling or the only ones in great financial despair. But as we've learned in the past (and I guess since lockdown), often times there are students in our community who have to stop yoga because of their financial status. We as a studio and for this reason, keep our costs as low as possible but it does often mean that when students leave and can't afford their monthly yoga, the studio takes a great knock and it affects us all. (Sad truth on the modern world) It has been absolutely amazing to see in the past our compassionate yoga students always donating classes and funds where they can in ordered to gift others with mats, classes and times of support!!! Those students have come back with even more offerings and the giving keeps giving and the web of community reminds us that we are never truly alone in our struggles or the only ones. Sooooo yogis.... We've got a suggestion and would like your thoughts, suggestions and public expertise on the matter. Instead of raising class prices beyond ridiculous (like our fuel lol), we would like to start a coffee and yoga coupon session that our students get the opportunity to either donate towards or purchase for another student or even teacher? What do you think? You might say it's just coffee, it won't change the world...but in small ways....we will change people's days and if you've ever had a coffee bought for you, you know how special it can be :)

Hey guys over the last few months we have felt that a lot of our students fellow tribe members have a lot to share. We miss being able to do this in the comfort of our studio due to covid so we'd like to open a discussion here creating an opportunity for you all to share a short story with us. It can be anything that you want to share including current life events that you might need some insight on from another trusted member; how yoga has impacted you ; what you want to see more of in our classes; an encouraging few lines to those in need of support. We encourage you to do this as you never know who might be going through a similar event and could relate to you. I started the conversation yesterday in case you didn't see it I will repost below.... Health and happiness to our whole tribe 🌸🧚‍♀️

This is not a joke, 42 days focused on your self is going to be hard! So why even try? Well let me start with this....42 days is not going to be easy for me either. I've taken up the challenge with you all and to fix my attention on making at least one drastic change in my life this month. You are not alone in this transformation we are embarking on! I know you can all do yoga everyday for 6 weeks, of course I do. But I want to see you actually do it. I want to see days that are hard to get up become days that you are hungry to rise and to get your goal done! I want to see you passionate to be good to yourself and to deal with everything you are being asked to face. We all know what's good for us, but often choose the alternative. We know we can do something but until we try, we won't know what struggles along the way we'll face and how just by having that constant motivation and determination will drastically change everything we do. Being nervous is natural, what if your whole life changes and you finally realise you need to let go of something or someone you've been really afraid to let go of for all these years? What if you are brought to a point where your eyes open to the fact that you've overworked yourself and over committed to people and things at the detriment of your health? Doing something for 6 weeks will move something deep within you and you shouldnt be afraid to let it move. You are GOING to get tired, you're going to have a million emotions and moments of disappointment and grief and loss and betrayal and let downs. Your life is never going to be all good. You're going to get hurt, you're going to break a heart or two. Guaranteed. But you are also going to have satisfaction, mindblowingly easy moments, cherished hugs and sore cheeks from laughter. I want to challenge you this month to be afraid but then to try anyway and then to push through. To try something different instead of giving up entirely. You've been called. You've been asked to do and not just say.
Why even do this 6 week thing anyway? content media

We all have days of rain and days of sunshine and it's just the best thing when you can lend a hand, share a song or good quote to inspire someone else when they aren't having such a strong day. Please comment with a link to your pick me up and dance song and we might just add it to a yoga playlist this week 😃

We've got a question for everyone! We know how busy life is and by the time you get to Friday night it's time to just relax and wind down. The Friday class is for this exact intention and has a variety of stretches, breathing and meditation exercises to do just this. We would be sad to do.away with it completely but see a lot of students are unable to attend the 17:30 time slot. We'd like to make this class at a more convenient time for everyone so you can all enjoy it ☺️ The question we have is 17:00 or 18:00 for our new time slot on Fridays? So please comment below, your thoughts are valuable and will keep the class going!
