ENCOURAGE A FRIEND TO COME WITH YOU TO A YOGA CLASS SO THEY TOO CAN EXPERIENCE ITS BENEFITS! The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. “Yoga is an invaluable gift from our ancient tradition. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action ... a holistic approach [that] is valuable to our health and our well-being. Yoga is not just about exercise; it is a way to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature.” The resolution notes “the importance of individuals and populations making healthier choices and following lifestyle patterns that foster good health.” In this regard, the World Health Organization has also urged its member states to help their citizens reduce physical inactivity, which is among the top ten leading causes of death worldwide, and a key risk factor for non-communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer and diabetes. The theme of International Yoga Day 2023 is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. It beautifully captures our shared aspiration for “One Earth, One Family, and One Future. In other words, we are opening our studio to give our students the chance to inspire others to also try the practice of yoga and give it a chance to have the same life changing effects on their mind, body and soul.
PLEASE NOTE!!! A late cancellation (cancelling with less than 30 minutes before a class starts) or no show (not cancelling and not arriving) counts as a paid class! This goes towards paying our teachers for their time and energy. Private sessions will be confirmed 48 hours in advance and cancellation is required at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in student forfeiting the session. If for some reason, the teacher cannot make the session, another appointment will be made upon cancellation.
