The best way to feel your best is to start with building your core strength. What is core and why do we need it? Your core muscles include abdominal, obliques, lower back and illiopsoas. Having these muscles are vital in order to support the skeleton and protect the organs. In yoga, we are aware of and know that without a healthy and strong core, we tend to experience more cravings, less or lower energy levels due to insufficient circulation or blood, oxygen and energy. Twisting, energising, strengthening and toning our core targets our manipura chakra which is our energy powerhouse. This is where we generate our own sense of self worth and confidence, where all our energy for life comes from. A balanced manipura chakra leaves us feeling self-motivated, living with a sense of purpose and enthusiasm & a good self esteem.
